Clare is an artist from Cheshire who has been painting and drawing since she was a child. She has always had a great love of animals and owned and looked after horses and dogs all her life. In fact, her company is named after her first pony, a chestnut Arabian mare called Zanna. She is primarily a pet portrait artist, but also paints landscapes and coastal scenes.
Clare understands that your pet is a very special part of your life and she will endeavour to capture each distinctive character in every pet portrait that she paints.
Her subjects are usually dogs and horses, but she has also painted cats, birds and even guinea pigs!
Clare mainly works in watercolour paints or graphite pencil. Her portrait paintings and drawings are extremely detailed and lifelike.
Every pet portrait she undertakes is treated with the same care and passion as the last.
In Clare's spare time she can be found horse riding on Frodsham Hill.

"My painting of Bean and I captures a special moment between us both. It is hung in my hairdressing salon and I often have to explain to my clients that it is not a picture, but a painting!"

"The Cuillin Ridge in Skye is one of our favourite places. We adore our painting and now have a little piece of Scotland in our home."
